It's Where Fun Is!

Raging Waters! I don't really know what I was expecting but I was not expecting to have as much fun as I did! We decided to go on the 5th since everyone had the day off. It was kinda pricy but oh so worth it.

We started off with breakfast supplied by Lynsie and her "dumpster diving" skills. She literally goes to Krispy Kreme and Hostess stores and goes through their dumpsters at the the end of the night. She brings home boxes of stuff. They are all still sealed and everything. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

BreAnn and I showed up in the same swimsuit! It was definitely a picture perfect opportunity.

Here are Steph and I with our "Brown Protection." It is a miracle tanning cream that Steph found and let me know about. It is pretty amazing and it made it even more amazing that the only place we could buy it was from the ABC store in Vegas. That somehow made it seem more legit. (Come to find out you can buy it lots of places but it still is amazing.) We used it periodically during the day and it literally protected us from getting burned and turned our skin to a beautiful brown color. Alyssa is convinced that it is cancer cream but we just turned darker brown after a day in the sun and Lyss turned lobster red from using supposed SPF 50 lotion every 5 seconds so I am even more convinced about our Brown Protection.

Here we all are after our fun day in the sun! We love Raging Waters!

We had to end the night with a treat so we stopped at our favorite place, Sub Zero. It was so delicious. If you've never been then you should go! They freeze the ice cream right in front of you! The day was so fun and I can't even wait to get a season pass next year! Thanks guys!

My New Favorite Place

I love food. Pretty much anything. But I really love dessert. For the last little while I have been noticing the sign Farr's Fresh on a building in Clinton. But it was just under construction. I didn't really know what it would be. Well, I tried it and I probably shouldn't have. I loved it! It is so cute and so good! You build your own ice cream and they have every topping that anyone could ever want! It's kinda pricey buy totally worth it!

We were trying to show how cute the store is but didn't dare ask a worker for help because they were pretty much closed and probably hated us for being in there taking pictures.

Here are the final products. I was in a not so super mood that night but all of this chocolate/sugar/calories totally made me forget all about that and I couldn't have been happier! I will definitely be back! I better purchase a treadmill! Thanks for coming with me to try it Key!

What happens in Vegas...

Last weekend Alyssa, Kiele, and I went on a road trip to Vegas! It was so great! We left on Thursday night and stayed in St. George. We had planned on leaving at 8:30 and somehow we didn't get on the road until 10! But we were so excited to get on the road that it didn't even matter!
Here we are looking oh so beautiful Friday morning while we are eating breakfast at the world famous, or maybe just Utah famous, Bear Paw Cafe in St. George. Then Vegas here we come!

We went to eat at the Grand Luxe restaurant at the Palazzo Hotel on Friday night. I didn't love my food but I just made Alyssa share hers with me. Everything else was so yummy! Thanks Jenn for the suggestion!

We went to Phantom on Friday night. While it wasn't nearly as entertaining as Wicked, it was still really great! The Phantom's voice was absolutely amazing!

Kiele was really feeling Phantom-ish after the show and kept hiding behind things making us take pictures. This was one of the better pictures.

After Phantom it was off to see the lights of Vegas, the water show at the Bellagio, and Captain Jack Sparrow!

Saturday we woke up really early, around noon, and spent the day at the pool. It got me so excited for summer!

Before we left Steph told me she read about a restaurant called Serendipity that looked really cute and was famous for their frozen hot chocolate. So we decided to try it. It was THEE cutest place I had ever seen! Everything was pink and orange and it had like an old fashioned soda bar inside. It was so fun. And so delicious. I got this Asian Chicken Salad and it was probably the best salad I have ever eaten. Everything else looked really good too but this was the best.

Here are Lyss and I with the giant frozen hot chocolate!

After dinner we went to Mystere and I am pretty sure this was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! They are so strong it is unbelievable. I could have watched for hours. Now I want to go back and see every single show that Cirque du Soleil puts on. I couldn't have loved it anymore! Ha ha.

We decided that we wanted to watch the pirate show at Treasure Island. We all remembered it being pretty cool when we were little so we thought we'd stop and watch it. We waited 40 minutes for the next show to start and it was so lame! It was pretty much sluts on parade. We watched for about 3 minutes and decided not to waste anymore of our time. But we did take some pretty great pictures of ourselves while we were waiting. This is just one of the many!

After watching the really great Treasure Island show we went back to Serendipity to try their dessert! It was a little embarrassing when the hostess recognized us. Oh well. On the menu there was a sundae that cost $1,000. We were debating on getting a couple of those but ended up choosing something else.

Just posting this picture makes me want to go back for more of their dessert! We got a deep fried oreo sundae, the frozen hot chocolate, and a strawberry cheesecake sundae. I could not have loved them anymore! They were without a doubt the best dessert I have ever had!

Kiele and I were obviously very excited about our deep fried oreos.

And this is us after we have eaten all that we possibly could of the dessert. We did pretty good. We were so so full though. Miserably full in fact.

Sadly all good things come to an end. Vegas was great! We really need to go again soon! Thanks girls for the fun trip!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Last week was my dad's 46th birthday! Oh my gosh he is an old man! Only 4 more years until he is 50. Then he will really be old.

Here he is with his birthday cake. Fruit pizza! Mmmm!

I am very grateful for him and all that he does for me. I couldn't ask for a better dad. Thanks for everything Dad! I love you and Happy Birthday!

The Big 23!

Last week I turned 23. Boo! I feel like I am getting very old, very fast. 23 sounds so old to me. I just knew that I would cry when the day came but the day came and went with no tears. I held it together very well. And thanks to my friends and family I had not just a wonderful day but a wonderful week! It started out with going to dinner at one of my very favorite restaurants...

The Mandarin. Mmm!

Dave, Steph, Layne, and Sharae came with my family to help celebrate the big day!

Here is just a sample of the delicious food that they have to offer...

When we went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for Sunday dinner I had quite the assortment of gifts... I was given a yummy chocolate bundt cake that my mom made, a whole plate of my grandma's famous chocolate chip cookies, a whole entire huge pot of THE BEST carmel popcorn that my aunt Mary makes, and a strawberry shortcake.

Everyone knows exactly what I love! I couldn't have been happier!

One of my very best friends Kiele took me out to my other favorite restaurant, Tepanyaki. It was so delicious!

And last but not least, Alyssa, Hollie, BreAnn, and Lynsie took me to Olive Garden and then to Fire House for a fhzookie! I love those things. The service and the pizza is absolutely horrible but we keep going back for the dang things!

I had a great birthday week and it all made the thought of getting older a little less horrible. I am very grateful for all of my friends and family. They are all the best. Thanks for helping me celebrate everyone!

The Fazookie!

One night when Dave, Steph, Alyssa, Lynsie, and I went out for dinner, Steph decided to introduce us to this dessert that her and Dave had told me about. It is called a Fazookie. I was excited because I love dessert, but figured that it couldn't be any better than other desserts that I had tried. Boy was I wrong! It was almost life changing it is so delicious. Well since its in Bountiful at the Firehouse Pizza, we hadn't been back since that night almost 2 months ago. When Alyssa and I bought our Rascal Flatts tickets we both knew instantly that we would be eating at the Firehouse on the way to the concert. I was a little nervous that it wouldn't be as good as I remember, but it didn't disappoint! It is a little bit of heaven in every bite. I decided that this dessert is so delicious that it deserved its own post. So here are some pictures of it but try to refrain from licking the computer screen.

Here is a picture of it before we have touched it. One half is chocolate chunk and the other side is the heath kind. Mmm!

Our waitress probably thought that we were a little bit crazy that we wanted out picture taken with our fazookie.

Unfortunatlely all good things have to come to an end. But we will be back soon! Thanks Steph for introducing us to this life changing dessert!
